​​​​To begin the process you will need to read the most up to date recreational skippers ticket workbook. Once you think you have a good understanding of the book, you can ring to make a booking which you can usually get in within a week. Any questions regarding the book can be explained before you sit the 40 questions multiple choice exam. You can only get 6 incorrect answers in order to pass. Any more than 6 incorrect answers but less than 10, you can sit another exam straight after. 

Once you have passed the theory we then go to the boat and do a practical training session. You will get as much training as you need then we will go straight into the practical assessment. There is 62 things you will need to know and can get 6 things incorrect. Once you have passed you will get a interim certificate which is valid from that moment. You will receive your plastic card in the mail after about 8 weeks.
